Review of the First China Fair Jordan
The First China Fair Jordan celebrated its grand opening on Sep. 14th, 2004 at Amman International Automobile Exhibition Center, Jordan. Distinguished guests including President of Jordan Chamber of Commerce, Jordan Minister of Tourism, Ambassador of Philippines in Jordan, Ambassador of Korea in Jordan, and Ambassador of Pakistan in Jordan were invited to the opening ceremony, and Mr. Luo Xingwu, Ambassador of China in Jordan, joined with Mr. Zhao Kangmei, Secretary General of Shanghai Foreign Economic Relation & Trade Commission and the Director of China Pavilion, in ribbon cutting. Other distinguished guests from China included Mr. Guo Mu, Director of Zhejiang Provincial Center for Promotion of International Trade, and representatives of Guangdong Provincial Council for Promotion of International Trade.
According to the statistics, the four-day China Fair attracted 12,400 customers and guests from Jordan, Iraq, Syria, United Arab Emirates, Libya, and Palestine, and some 2,250 business cards of professional customers collected, including 1,146 persons from Jordan, 259 from Iraq, 113 from Saudi Arabia, 93 from Palestine, 39 from Syria, and 14 from Libya. In four days, a number of new customers are secured for agency intention. The total turnover added up to 50.66 million USD, where contracted turnover amounted to 2.3 million USD, and on-spot turnover 0.99 million USD.
